The Umkhonto we Sizwe Liberation War Veterans (MKLWV) reaffirm that the welfare of military veterans is a fundamental pillar of social justice, nation-building and the consolidation of South Africa’s democracy.

Welfare

That military veterans have an inalienable right to dignity, social security, healthcare, and material support as a direct consequence of their contribution to the liberation of South Africa.

Heritage

The unresolved state of MK heritage undermines nation-building, historical justice, moral regeneration and the values of the National Democratic Revolution;

Economic

MKLWV has made notable progress in securing policy recognition, establishing institutions and in initiating programmes.

Corruption

Crime, corruption and institutiona l decay undermine the authority of the state, erode public trust, weaken the rule of law and threaten the National Democratic Revolution.
